ALL ABOARD!

The Depot Minneapolis includes the former Milwaukee Road Depot that was built in 1899. For the good part of a century, The Depot bustled with trains departing daily until the rails were shut down in 1971.

In 2001, The Depot reopened to house two Marriott Hotels, one of which has been recently renovated to become Minnesota's only full-service Renaissance Hotel. The Depot also includes gorgeous event space, catering service, on-site dining, indoor water park and seasonal indoor ice-skating rink.

"The restoration helped to fuel the revitalization of the Minneapolis Riverfront District," says John Tracy, the director of sales and marketing. The Depot Minneapolis was recently recognized by Minnesota Meetings + Events magazine for "Best Banquet/Reception Site" and by Minnesota Bride for "Best Reception Site" in 2007.
